mp4 not m4v

Description of problem or question:
I need to downsize an mp4 file. Handbrake makes them into m4v's which is not accepted into the system I'm uploading to. How to I set it to mp4?

In Windows Explorer, click on the file, highlight the extension, and type MP4 and Enter. Answer the prompt about changing extension with Yes.

For future encodes, go to Tools->Preferences->Output Files and select "Always use MP4" as the MP4 extension.
