Best 4K Settings for Plex Handbrake

I have been trying to shrink files as small as possibly while maintaining the quality. I need the files to play properly through Plex. I notice some people are getting 6GB 4K files. What should I be expecting as a general file size that typically retains the quality.

x265 Nevc is what I have been using with Constant Quality set to 24 and the files are 16-17gb.

If i start raising it up to 25, 26, 27 am I going to lose a lot of quality?

Probably not, but your eyes are the only thing that matters.

There is no answer to that question. Could be anything: Time, settings, complexity, all different!

Hardware encodes like NVENC are low efficiency (quality for size), and generally regarded as throw-away here. If you want quality with a small size, you should use a software encoder like x264/x265.

Agree on the disadvantages of hardware encoders. You should be using x265 for 4K, not NVENC.
