Encode Time

Description of problem or question:

Why does it take longer to encode an MP4 file as compared to MKV file of the same size?


Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):




HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.3.3



Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Windows 10


HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

It shouldn’t if you are talking about encoding to those containers.

If you are talking about source files then encode time will vary.

Please post your logs so we can see what you are doing.

Because you're picking different settings (other than the container).
