When I check for updates, I'm told none is available.

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Windows 7 Ultimate.

I know - I installed the latest version just after I posted. I'm complaining that the 'Check for Updates' option within 1.3.1 reported no available updates.

Support for Windows 7 was deprecated over a year ago now. Windows 7 does not have the necessary security framework to allow our app to connect to handbrake.fr to check for updates. You'll notice handbrake.fr is also not accessible in Internet Explorer for the same reason.

As such, update check service is no longer available for Windows 7 users.

The announcements part of the forum will have a new message as each update is posted. It doesn't mention the nightly builds, but releases are mentioned.
