Hard Stretch DVD's

Post by Syndbad24 »

Description of problem or question:

The crude way (which is easily done from !HandBrakeCLI), is to maintain the height and “hard” stretch the frame width to 854 (for details, see the CLI Appendix). The problem with this is that you end up storing an image that’s got a higher resolution than your DVD source—it takes up more space. Instead of a 720480 frame or a 720404 frame, you’re writing a 854*480 frame to disk.

I would like to do exactly what is described in this part of the Documentation. I have worked with the Handbrake GUI a lot, but I've never worked with the CLI. And so far I've failed to even start the CLI properly.

I have no experience with Terminals or Command lines. Does anyone know any ohter Metthod to "hard" stretch Anamorphic Videos fron DVD's to 854*480 or 1024*576?
