HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.2.2

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
w10-18362

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

Code: Select all

Please replace this text with the contents of your log file between the two code tags - OR - provide a pastebin URL in place of these 3 lines.
Sorry if i Didn't post the log, but I think it does not apply, since i'm here to ask help with concept, not with the software itself, regards i'm using it.

Well, the question is the one of the title:
How to proper convert 21:9 content to watch on my 16:9 HDTV, without stretching it?

Why i'm asking? My tv stretch ANY CONTENT and fills the entire screen, and the zoom feature of my tv DONT work when watching videos from usb file, I know, is a crappy TV, but is the only one I got...

I want the black borders of 21:9 content (a lot of movie files) are considered part of the whole, so my 16:9 tv wont stretcht it.
How do I do that with HandBrake aspect ratio configs?

I hope i made myself clear, and thanks in advance.

Disable auto crop by setting 0 (zero) crop on all sides to preserve letterboxing (black bars).

The answer is going to depend on the information in the log, because the answer is specific to the content you have.

Is the source 16:9 with padding? Then you'll need to disable cropping.
Is the source really 21:9? Then you'll need the pad filter.

Wait, how are you configuring things on the dimensions panel (screenshot please)?
