Subtitles burned in for in movie language

Post by jnyfive »

Description of problem or question:
Good day. I tried searching but could not find so apologies if discussed.

How do I burn in a subtitle in the actual MP4 file for in-movie language only? For example, in Star Wars when they alien speak the subtitle would appear. Or in Avengers when Black Widow is being interrogated and speaking Russian in the movie, the subtitles would appear.

Again, apologies if discussed already.

Thank you.

Big problem with the Star Wars movies is the track you seek changes between movies. The "foreign audio" for English track on one movie might be #4, or #7, or #1. So choosing the right one to burn in can be a challenge.

The "Foreign Audio Scan" with "Forced Only" and "Burn in" checked works most of the time for movies, but sometimes it can be fooled. You may have to override it if it doesn't get the correct one.
