Is Handbrake the only software needed to rip Dvds?

Post by Lincon » Thu May 09, 2019 6:18 am

Hello everyone,,
If I just wanted to rip a Dvd, is handbrake the only tool required? I own a bunch of obscure TV shows on Dvd that are not available digitally. I wanted to put them on a USB and mobdro lucky patcher kodi watch via TV. I last used handbrake 10 years ago. Just got a new comp. Back in the day, I had to use DVD Decrypter, then Handbrake (perhaps the other way around). Does handbrake handle DVD decrypting now?
Any help appreciated..

Handbrake is not a ripping tool, so you do need ripping software.

While there are 3rd-party add-ons you can add to handbrake to rip DVDs, they are NOT reliable, and NOT supported.

Software like MakeMKV and AnyDVD are dedicated to ripping, and support removing far more copy protection schemes than the 3rd-party add-ons do.
