1920x1080: why do I get such a light file?
I fed HandBrake an UHD file of 432GB (uncompressed) and then I chose "Apple 2160 4K HEVC Surround" selecting 1920x1080 on "Dimension" tab. Then I moved the slider to 15 and FPS on 50. I got a h.265 6GB file. The video lasts around 30 minutes. When I encoded the same uncompressed file but encoding UHD I got a h.265 26GB file. Is it normal or do I make some errors?

Seems ok for the settings you have, are there any problems?

No, I don't have any problem but it look equal as the file I exported from Edius 9 timeline. I don't see the reason to use HndBrake to create h.265 1080 files.

Converting the file won’t make it look better.
But it will save you space, you probably have 90% of quality in 6% of the size.

I'm sorry but I don't have problems with space. I like to verify the quality of h.265 file compared to h.264 file.

So don't convert it then.

Do you not think you can get a better file (h.265)with HandBrake starting from uncompressed file thaan export a h.264 file from Edius 9 timeline?
Re: 1920x1080: why do I get such a light file?
Hypothetically, sure, but not a meaningful difference from an arbitrary high bitrate H.264 export.
