When you open the movie in WHAT?

You selected to pass the audio track through, which handbrake did. It would not have applied any changes to it, unless you said to re-encode it.

I don't see any audio track name set:

[21:14:19] * audio track 1
[21:14:19] + name: ac3
[21:14:19] + decoder: English (AC3) (5.1 ch) (track 1, id 0x1)
[21:14:19] + bitrate: 640 kbps, samplerate: 48000 Hz
[21:14:19] + AC3 Passthru

I know what Zoffywong is referring to. I've noticed the same thing on my latest encodes. I started noticing it during the nightly builds before v1.2.0 was released after the nightly build of v11_21_2018. When I do my .m4v encodes I always do the 1st track to ACC - Stereo and second track to AC3 5.1 if the source had a 5.1 track to start with for when I stream through ROKU for my home theater / surround sound watching. The AVR still determines the Dolby Digital 5.1 track correctly coming from the PLEX/ ROKU streaming.

Basically, I always test each encode through either VLC or PowerDVD (v17 and v18) and up to the official release of HB 1.1.2 and the nightly builds at least for me of Nov 21st 2018 PowerDVD would show the audio languages to pick from as the following:

Track 1 - English Stereo
Track 2 - English Surround

Now with HB v1.2.0 both audio tracks, even though I'm doing the same thing I've always done, say the following further down in PowerDVD. VLC still shows Stereo and Surround and my AVR picks it up correctly and PLEX identifies the HEVC files as having both audio tracks correctly so I'm not too concerned, it was just an interesting observation. In the Nightly builds I could always go back to v11_21_2018 and Handbrake v1.1.2 and it would go back to the way it was after an encode completed, but any version after that nightly build date it would show the following below just list the current released v1.2.0 does now, which I had hoped was a nightly build issue.

Track 1 - English SoundHandler
Track 2 - English SoundHandler

I've noticed looking at MediaInfo between two files that were done between both versions is that in the metadata of the Audio information that the Title of the ones that show correctly have the following

Title: Stereo / Stereo
or
Title: Surround / Surround

The ones that show up with SoundHandler in PowerDVD just have the metadata in the audio section of the title with just one vs. two and no forward slash:

Title: Stereo
or
Title: Surround

Again, I think this is something how PowerDVD is looking at the data vs. VLC or another player, but in PowerDVD it is doing either Stereo or 5.1 if I pick track 1 or track 2 with one of the newer encodes, even though it says English SoundHandler as I know which one it is by the order. I only us it for verifying the encodes look good and are working for as most of my view is on my my mobile and ROKU devices.
