Need support in handbrake nightly Nvenc H265 with turing nvidia

Post by Duckers »

Description of problem or question:

My newest RTX 2080 uses 88% video encode performance when my GTX 1080 used 40% which allowed me to run 2 instances of handbrake and still have 20% usage left with 2 movies encoding with the same settings, now i can only run one. Isn't turing's nvenc supposed to be way jenhanced and way better?

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

Run 1080p Nvenc H265 slow encoder preset and that's it.

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

Latest nightly of writing now

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

Windows 10 home 64bit

We'll need to see an activity log from each encode. Info on where to find them is here: https://handbrake.fr/docs/en/latest/hel ... y-log.html

You're using different builds with different sources and different settings. No reason to expect NVENC usage to be the same.
