Converting from WMV to MP4 is trimming photos

Post by KeithRoberts »

Description of problem or question:
I created a video from existing photos and song using Windows Movie Maker 6. When I play the video, all photos are being displayed properly sized. After I convert from WMV to MP4 using handbrake, the photos are trimmed on the right and left edges. This is causing some text on the photos to be trimmed.

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):
Create a WMV video using Windows Movie Maker
Publish the video
Convert the video from WMV to MP4 using Handbrake
photos are trimmed in the mp4 video

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):
1.1.1 2018061800 - 64 Bit

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):
Windows 10 Pro

Code: Select all

[08:58:16] scan: 10 previews, 720x480, 29.970 fps, autocrop = 0/0/86/86, aspect 1.50:1, PAR 1:1

[08:58:16] + Crop and Scale (width=548:height=480:crop-top=0:crop-bottom=0:crop-left=86:crop-right=86)
[08:58:16] + source: 720 * 480, crop (0/0/86/86): 548 * 480, scale: 548 * 480
You have autocrop turned on, and it found black bars on the sides in its sampling.

Increase the number of samples in preferences, or disable autocrop in the picture settings.
