File sizes
Just a general question here, sorry if I'm in the wrong spot. Is there any way of picking the end file size before converting a file? I'm going from a 13.5gb .ts file to an mp4 and want it to be 4.7gb so I can put it on a dvd. I see lots of presets, but can't see anything that would tell me the end file size. Is the only way to convert it which takes a while, then check the end file size and if it's too big, erase and try again with a different preset? I have it on the default output preset of "fast 1080p30" right now. I'm using 1.0.7 for Windows 7

Re: File sizes
Target file size is not possible within HB.
You can calculate the necessary settings using an online bitrate calculator then use those settings to get your desired size.

Re: File sizes
For average bitrate,
Bitrate (Mbps) x Time (sec) x .125 = File Size MB)
You must add in the audio stream size and leave room for a little cushion.
