Problems opening UHD Folder

Post by Whitters23 »

Description of problem or question

I ripped a UHD disc to my hard drive using AnyDVDHD. I'm now trying to open it up using Handbrake but get the following error come up:

"No valid source or titles found"

Looking round on the internet, I've seen something to do with the libbluray libraries needing to be updated which ties in with these lines from the activity log:

src/libbluray/bdnav/index_parse.c:184: index.bdmv failed signature match: expected INDX0100 got INDX0300
src/libbluray/bdnav/index_parse.c:184: index.bdmv failed signature match: expected INDX0100 got INDX0300

I saw that some people had success by installing VLC so I've now installed VLC v3.0.0. I did a restart of my PC (just as a precaution) but I still get the same issue.

If anyone can help, that would be great

thanks in advance

UHD structure is not supported. You'd need to convert to another container first. I.e use MakeMKV.

HandBrake does not use or interact with VLC so it makes no difference.
