If there are subs present does the length matter?Rodeo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 7:15 pmCan we get a real log please? This is 30 seconds only. You can set the encoder preset to ultrafast, we don't care about the video track here.PotatoCarl wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 4:31 pm Here's the log of converting from the MKV file where the Subs are displayed.

Re: Subtitles Unreadable when created with handbrake
Zoom Player displays them correctly (see above).
If I encode with no cropping (see posting above), they are neither displayed with Zoom Player (or Kodi if it comes to that).
I posted the shorter logs before as nobody complained so far, sorry about that.
The full logs will follow after encoding.

Well, at least the subtitles are there, as per the log. It could be the case of ZoomPlayer expecting zlib compression and HandBrake muxing the subtitle tracks uncompressed. Have you tried VLC to play HandBrake's output?

Mmh. VLC displays them. Okay, I understand. Will contact inmatrix about that. Thank you.

If that's indeed the issue, remuxing HandBrake's output with Mkvtoolnix should zlib-compress the subtitles automatically, IIRC.
