Re: QSV no longer working with later Intel graphics drivers
Intel driver 15.65.3.4944 seems to work. No failures so far.
Re: QSV no longer working with later Intel graphics drivers
I have done more testing with the latest driver and it's far better than previous version. I still get a few failures, but it's a huge difference.
Re: QSV no longer working with later Intel graphics drivers
All drivers released after version 4771 directly caused failures, i.e. conversion of any video failed approx in the middle of the process.
With version 4944, I did not see any single failure for 4 videos.
My CPU is an i7-7700K running on Windows 10 64 Bit Fall Creators Update, build 1709.
I use these settings:
--disable-qsv-decoding
--encoder-preset balanced
--qsv-async-depth=3
--encoder-profile=high
--encoder-level=4.1
-q 21.0
@rbirk: What are the scenarios where it fails? What are your settings? Would like to reproduce the failures.

Re: QSV no longer working with later Intel graphics drivers
See previous posts with full logs. It's all old DVDs. I have finally started converting my big DVD library to hard disk and its 1000+ of them. So I am converting many movies. I usually put 30-40 movies in a queue at a time.
Re: QSV no longer working with later Intel graphics drivers
Hmm, I've now seen a failure with version 4944 (where version 4771 succeeds).
@rbirk: you are right - version 4944 is more stable than previous versions but still not as stable as version 4771.
