Best practice for handling large mp4 files from GoPro. Is it best to compress with handbrake first and then edit or compress after editing?
It might not matter but I was curious what the recommendation was. I tried searching but didn't really find a good answer. Thanks in advance.

Do your editing before compressing, if your software can handle the larger files. Each time you compress, you lose some detail.

What Woodstock said. HandBrake is usually the last software in most workflows, except maybe one to add metadata like an image and description.
