I used to be able to use Handbrake to convert Mpeg - 2 TS video files to mp4 files. The source files were created by a Panasonic HDD recorder and accessed over a network. Handbrake can see the files but aborts or fails to start the 'open source' process.
Windows 10, Handbrake 1.03 - 64 bit
Error code - Error 0x8000000A "The data necessary to complete this action is not yet available"
The log doesn't say a lot but here it is:
[20:49:40] hb_init: starting libhb thread
[20:49:40] hb_init: starting libhb thread
[20:49:40] hb_init: starting libhb thread
[20:49:40] hb_init: starting libhb thread
I would have just assumed what I was attempting to do was simply not possible - except it used to work beautifully.
Thanks

Re: No longer processes -ts files over a network
Try running the files through VideoReDo's Quick Stream Fix first.
Re: No longer processes -ts files over a network
Thanks for the response. Attempted to use VideoReDo's Quick Stream Fix but whilst it could see the files in question - it wouldn't open the files. No error message just inaction.
Re: No longer processes -ts files over a network
If VideoReDo says it can't open the files, maybe that's the problem handbrake is experiencing?
The files could be locked or you don't have read permission for them.

Please post your logs, thanks.
Check your paths; network drive letters and permissions can change.

Re: No longer processes -ts files over a network
Can you copy the files locally and open them?
Re: No longer processes -ts files over a network
Thanks for the suggestons. I copied the file from the HDD recorder onto a DVD (DVD format). Handbrake was then able to convert to mp4. Partial success but the interim step (ie. copy to DVD) didn't used to be necessary.
