install error

Post by oshodisa »

Hi,

Hoping you can help me.

I'm trying to install Handbrake (has been previously installed, but now uninstalled).

I've downloaded latest version (1.0.3) and get the following;

'Error opening file for writing..... Handbrake.exe', then abort, retry, ignore.

retry does not progress, abort, well, aborts... and ignore skips to the next file (which does the same, and then again).

I can get through the install and open the program, but (no surprise) get the following error message;

An Unknown Error has occured.

I'm on Windows 10, and I was updating Handbrake from a version before 1 (think it was 0.10 ish)

Hope that is enough info to help me.

Thanks
Andy

Somethings locked the files on your system. Completely uninstall it first before running the installer. (and make sure you download only from this website.)
