1080p output not registering as 1080p in sickbeard

Post by nobraier »

i think i finally got some files ripped out as 1080p from a Bluray boxset i bought. The plex server sees it as 1080p, but when I run it through sickbeard for sorting/renaming it only recognizes it as HD TV. It's not a big deal, but it wont replace the existing lower quality because of it.

It's probably looking for a tag in the metadata to determine it and we don't add one. You'll probably need to find a metadata app to handle this. Subler on Mac does it but I don't have any recommendations for Windows I'm afraid as I tend to use Subler myself.

when I do mkvinfo (pc) it shows teh correct info for the pixel width/height and display width/height.
Sadly, my mac at home didn't reboot after I installed some software updates. It will need to wait till I get home to try subler.

Thanks for the tip!

Subler seems to want to convert to m4v, but i want to keep the mkv container. It does however seem like it generates the metadata.

everything seems to be there (metadata wise), but still only recognizing as HD.
