Out of Memory Crash

Post by gwales » Thu Feb 16, 2017 11:24 pm

Hi

I am on Windows 10, Handbrake 1.0.2 and when I start it and touch any control I get the below.

Have tried reinstalling, have tried the nightly, was using before without issue.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Gary

I doubt very much it's actually an OutOfMemory crash but more a buffer issue in .NET. (Misleading error) I think there is a .NET repair tool you can run on Windows 10 so you might want to investigate that.

Thanks for the response, I have tried the .net repair tool (and validation tool) (i am running 4.6.2) I have tried clearing out all appdata folders and reinstalling multiple times. Basically Handbrake is now inoperable on my PC and it seems to be coming from .net which beyond running repair on is now a core part of Windows influenced via update.

I currently have no option, but to look for another tool for my needs or another platform to run Handbrake (researching ubuntu).
