Attempting to encode a video from Vegas pro 13 using debug frameserver. Handbrake wont open the source. I have tried both version 9.9 and the latest version of HB as of this post

I don't think handbrake supports DFSC video

How do I make my video not DFSC? I'm literally following an exact guide for using frameserver to encode with handbrake from Vegas 13. Handbrake has no problem encoding the recorded video directly, but it refuses to open the frameserver file. So w/e is happening is happening in vegas/frameserver which according to all these guides online shouldn't be a problem.

HandBrake doesn't support frame served output. You need a complete file otherwise we can't scan it. So you'd need to export it from Vegas first.

There are Vegas users on the forum so maybe one of them can share their workflow if your lucky.

If that's true than explain this https://youtu.be/64HvW0RsE0o and http://www.vegasvideo.de/vegas-2-handbrake-en.html.

If it didn't work there wouldn't be guides on it. I've even attempted using 9.9 which is what is used in the guide.

No idea what they are doing, but I can assure you frame served output is not supported. We require to scan a file before processing. That involves having all the frames available up front otherwise we can't decode previews, we can't do auto-crop detection, interlace detection etc.

So unless they are somehow fooling the app into thinking it's got the file when it doesn't, it won't work. IF they are playing some clever trickery, it's a recipie for encoding failures.

Well for now I'm basically rendering it in DNxHR and I'll see how HB works with that.
