Very quick question about "Strict Anamorphic"
When I choose the strict anamorphic option, HandBrake changes the resolution of my 1920x1080 movies to 1918x800. Shouldn't this give me two black vertical rows?
Re: Very quick question about "Strict Anamorphic"
Strict anamorphic prevents the output video from being rescaled, it sounds like you want to disable cropping instead. Try manually setting your crop values to zero.

When I rip Batman: The Dark Knight, it automatically crops it to 1918x800. Wouldn't 1920 be better?TedJ wrote:Strict anamorphic prevents the output video from being rescaled, it sounds like you want to disable cropping instead. Try manually setting your crop values to zero.

Depends on your player.
All HB is doing is removing two black vertical rows.
