Hi all,
I can make Handbrake hang, here's a link to a DVD-Folder (33.4 MB) that will hang my 64Bit v0.10.0.6534.
http://www61.zippyshare.com/v/29729471/file.html
Questions:
Has anyone already seen or reported this problem?
Does this DVD-Folder also hang Handbrake on your machines?
Does anybody know what exactly is wrong with the DVD-Folder (see link above)?
TIA,
klueless
I can make Handbrake hang - is this a new bug?

Re: I can make Handbrake hang - is this a new bug?
It crashes VLC but only hangs HandBrake? Nice, I guess
Worth taking a look, but I'm not the DVD expert around here.

Re: I can make Handbrake hang - is this a new bug?
That's correct. I've posted almost the same question over at the VLC forum, and filed an official bug.Rodeo wrote:It crashes VLC but only hangs HandBrake? Nice, I guess

Would REALLY like to know what is wrong with that DVD folder.
TIA,

Re: I can make Handbrake hang - is this a new bug?
Oops. Forgot the activity log. Started the encode, and after a few seconds when Handbrake has reached 100% clicked on Stop. So Handbrake does not really hang (as I can stop the encode), but the encode apparently gets stuck in a loop and never finishes.klueless wrote:Would REALLY like to know what is wrong with that DVD folder.

Re: I can make Handbrake hang - is this a new bug?
Looks like a malformed mpeg2 audio stream.

Not sure about that. This DVD folder plays just fine using PowerDVD or MPC-HC. It crashes VLC, however, VLC is able to play the VOB file without crashing. My impression is that there is something peculiar in the IFO that VLC and Handbrake cannot cope with.TedJ wrote:Looks like a malformed mpeg2 audio stream.
