My problem is that i can't convert videos from avi to mkv files. Im using Dxtory screenrecording software for my gaming gaming scenarios that i want to upload on Youtube. When I'm trying to convert my videos a popup shows up and says "You must first scan a source". I've tried to scan a file and folder, doesn't work at all.

I had Handbrake for like 2 months ago and then it was just drag-and-drop and convert, easy as hell, but now it's impossible.

Can anyone please help me? Really love Handbrake, it has always worked for me. What can I do to fix this?

Cheers!

This is where a forum search before posting can save a lot of time...

So everyone who's using Dxtory aren't able to use Handbrake? What software should i use instead of this one then? Someone that's similar to Handbrake (easy-use and awesome product).

Or is there a fix out there for this?

The solution is in one of the threads linked to in the search, above.

'Dxtory' captures work fine will a more modern Handbrake.
