Coping with different a/r from same disk,

I was given an old dual layer DVD that had on it 3 complete videos which was requested to be converted to MKV.
The first old film is 4X3 & looks good in preview. The other 2 are much wider maybe 2.35 or thereabouts. It previews squashed up as a 4x3. How do I fix this? They were decoded using DVD Shrink?
Thanks in advance

I think you'll need to split it into three separate videos (VideoRedo is good); Handbrake grabs the first aspect it sees in a title afaik.

I used VideoReDo to just copy out the files I needed & was able to encoded from that.
It does however prompt me to ask why aren't there just some presets for the most common aspect ratios? I suspect had I not done what I did it might still have been possible to start with an incorrectly encoded 4x3 file & stretch it to 16x9, 1,2.35 etc. Correct or not?
