Varied Sizes for Transcoded Episodes

Post by Deleted User 34727 »

Hi, i have been using Handbrake for a while, and this one is just weird, i am transcoding some episodes from dvd. However, the weird thing is i created a preset and used the same one for all the other episodes, but the first episode came out to 235MB, the second and rest came out to ~190MB. Any help? I can see the bitrates are the different, but why. I can post my handbrake settings as well.

Such is the nature of constant quality encoding.

Encoding logs are preferred over screen shots as they are actually informative of the encoding process.

File Size = Bitrate x Time

In Constant Quality mode, the Bitrate is unspecified, and increases with complexity of the source. No two are the same.
