HandBrake Cuts Off Last Few Frames and Holds On Them

Post by davebode »

I am trying to encode an AVI file with a Lagarith codec. It seems to encode fine until the last few frames. The video just stops on the fade out and holds there while the music continues.

This is the log from the last encode:

Have you tried updating to a nightly build? Libav, which we use for lagarith decoding, has been updated since the last stable release of HandBrake.

No I haven't. I don't usually run stuff that isn't full release version, but I will give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks for the tip.

Lagarith has had problems in the past.
UT is a good one, as is Dnxhd.

I tried the nightly build, but had the same result of sticking on the last video frame of the fade out. I guess Lagarith and HandBrake was not meant to be.\
Thanks for the help.
Back to MeGui. Ugh.

Ever heard of DNxHD?
Not buggy like Lagarith. A lot smaller, too.
