I have been using version 9.9 to open a file created by Makemkv, Media info tells me that my file has both a 6 channel audio & 2 channel audio track as well as 3 subtitles tracks. I was trying to make a MKV file that is much smaller than the originals 23GB size. I opted for 5.1 channel output as well as keeping the comments track as almost anything else, stereo,mono etc. I also wished to have the subtitles as well since I can now have them turn on/off.
When I open HB & point it to file which opens then look under the audio tab I see 2 audio tracks listed. The source for first says English DTS (5.1ch) with mixdown set to 6.1. How did I get an extra channel?
The source for second again say English DTS (5.1ch) with mixdown to Dolby Pro Logic 11.
Even though this didn't seem correct to me I did a preview. When I found that the second audio track was the same as first,in other words it wasn't the directer's comments. I then went back to the original file & used VCL player & found that I had 2 different tracks. Where did I loose the directors comments track in the HB list?
I don'y have a proper log to post but I could make screen shots if required.

You should have a scan log that you can post if you rescan the source.
What preset did you pick? Some presets have the source audio track twice in different formats for compatibility.
Your second audio track would need to be added manually by clicking on the Add button in the Audio tab.

Sorry for delay but but there have been hospital problems. Below is the log which I think you requested. As stated before I can play original MKV file in VCL player & have 2 different audio tracks. I just want one 5.1 audio as well director's comments.

As the scan is showing two 5.1 tracks(one DTS and one AC3), I would venture to guess that when you ripped the disc with MakeMKV you didn't select the commentary track.

Assuming there isn't a scan error in Handbrake, I would venture to guess that the second track is the commentary track.

I can do a screen grab of InfoMedio but I can only save it as either Jpeg or PNG. I suspect that all you want is plain text but how do I do this unless there is a way of attaching the screen grab to this thread that I can't see.

I have looked at every tag in the program for saving as a text option & can't see any text option. This leave open only 2 other ways that I know. Either I just re type what I see in Medioinfo or if the OCR setting in my printer works (I have never tried it) then that might work.

It's somewhat difficult to rationalize what you're saying against the numerous MediaInfo text outputs pasted into the forum over the years.
