Video Settings to Play on my Computer

I have found a guide that tells me the video settngs for my iPod but I don't know what settings to put in place to play the highest quality of downloaded DVDs on my computer. My resolution I think is 1280x800. Help me please. Thanks.

Load the bedlam preset, and modify it, if needed.

Mouse over the presets to see their descriptions.
