Getting off the ground- audio, video, and program issues

Post by RTW »

Hi. I'm a new user of this program. My OS is win XP. I ran into a problem on the first video I tried to convert. I followed the windows GUI guide, and everything went fine until I tried to play the video. Most of the video was garbled, but some parts of it were as they should have been. The audio was not recognizable. I looked on every guide (after the fact) and found that I may not have downloaded the proper programs in addition to the windows GUI. I proceeded to download DVD43. Is this all I need? What was I doing wrong? And have I done everything I need to do to fix it? All help is appreciated.
