I just finished converting Alien (Blu-ray) with handbrake with no issues, however Aliens doesn’t seem to want to play as nice.
I use I use very slow and film presets with a CQ of 21. Normally a BR conversion will take me 8-16 hours on my PC, but this one had been going for over 24 hours and Handbrake said it had another 24 to go and it had already produced a 12 GB file (the original MKV is 32 GB, so I’m guessing this would have produced a ~24 GB file).
I realize there is a lot going on with Aliens, but it seems odd to me that it would take 3 to 4x as long as any other BR I’ve ever converted.
