My .mkv dont finish the conversion

Hey guys how are you?

I'm with a problem, that's happening with almost all my bluray videos... here's the think...
I have a bluray 720p .mkv file, and every time i put to converter, converts just 10 or 20min of the film then stop.
I tried a thousand times, and do not finish...

Here's the log of the last movie I did that:

The original file has like 5gb, and the file converted have 200mb.

I think there is 10 minutes missing from your log.

Since there are no chapters, it's perfectly normal to see no messages between those lines.
It doesn't look like anything's missing.

Yes... I don't know what It is...

This happen most the time with me, and i realized that is only with larges .mkv files.

I can do somes SS if will help you.

I have no idea what's causing it, sorry.
The only potential workaround I can think of you be to remux with mkvmerge GUI (part of Mkvtoolnix).

You mean remuxing with mkvmerge worked?

Probably, there was something in your file that had the libavformat MKV demuxer (which HandBrake uses) believe it had reached the end-of-file (when it hadn't), and mkvmerge produced a "better" MKV file that didn't confuse the demuxer.

Thanks, but those are pretty old threads. Also, I think this issue should be fixed for most files (remux probably unnecessary).

I just used those links to fix a mp4 file that would not finish, that's why i posted them, so others don't have to be looking and finding out what they need. :wink:

The download is actually pretty up to date (July 27, 2014), and even tho its maybe the How-To is old it still saved me. :mrgreen:
