Not Encoding

When I click "Endoce Video" it says how it is encoding the video, but not progress bar appears and shows it, and there are no other signs of it encoding...

hey, how did you fix this.
I always click encode and the Command window opens and it shows it scanning the chapters on the DVD, then it zooms through something and closes, and the message "Status: encoding process has ended" appears but nothing actually happens and I do not get an encoded file for use on my ipod or computer.
Maybe I am doing the same thing you were?
