ripping a flipper disc

Post by 661 »

I'm having trouble encoding two-sided DVDs to a single mp4. Using dvdfab's merge tool, I can rip side A & B to a single folder on my HDD. HB's "view DVD data" returns this:

HandBrake has exited.

It seems like I should be good to go but the encode is always side A only; no matter what I've tried as values for DVD title/chapter.

Where am I going wrong? Maybe this isn't doable with the windows GUI and I need to be exploring CLI options? thx

You can only encode 1 title at a time.

DvdFab has not actually merged anything. It is still 2 seperate titles.

Thanks sr55. I was afraid you were going to say that.

Does a tool exist that can merge two titles into one? Anyone...

You can merge the output files (assuming the same resolution and FPS) with MP4Box (from GPAC, command-line only).
