Static Audio Track

Post by waylay00 »

I've been using HB for a while with no problems. Recently, I was trying to encode a "Live from Austin, TX: Eric Johnson" DVD. According to DVD Decrypter, there are two audio tracks available: LPCM 2.0, and DTS 5.1.

Although DVD Decrypter displays both tracks, Handbrake only lets me choose the LPCM. After the encoding is finished, the video is fine, but the audio is all white noise/static. I tried all possible combinations of bitrate/codecs, etc, to no avail.

I did a search, and it appears as if I'm not the only person with this problem, including people on the Mac side of things:

So is there any way to successfully encode a DVD with LPCM as the audio?

Edit: Xilisoft DVD to Ipod encodes it just fine. However, I only have the trial version, so I can only encode five minutes.

Thanks,
Wade
