Ipad video freezing

After using Handbrake to convert my movies the playback files on the Ipad are freezing for a few seconds and resumes playback shortly thereafter, but is happening on all files I convert. I am using the settings from ipadhelpguide.net and it seems to do OK for converting and the picture is pretty clear. I am adding the log file here in hopes that you can help me as none of the commercial products work for my converting needs, I have tried 3 or 4 commercial apps and they all seem to lose the audio on all the files. HELP

Those settings are contradictory and decidedly odd. I recommend upgrading to the current nightly build which has a tested and working iPad preset instead.

Not really. It's the Normal preset's x264 options with umh and excessive merange, combined with HandBrake's "hacky" implementation of Turbo first pass. Advice to try the nightly still stands, however.

One time I had an issue where my iPad started freezing on video playback. At first I was really scared it was a HB problem because I noticed it a couple days after committing the preset. But then I realized it was also happening in StreamToMe. So I restarted the iPad, and everything worked fine. Not sure if that's what you're encountering, but it might be worth a shot.

Thanks guys after trying the nightly all the handbrake movies cause the iPad to hard boot itself after a few minutes of the movie. Not sure which direction to turn?

I had the ipad replaced and proceeded to play a converted movie and no crash after 5 mins. The Ipad did however shut down after 20 mins of watching the video. I have included the log file. I am interested to know if anyone else is having these issues

Yes I am running the most current version of Itunes and the most current ipad software version and no my ipad is not jailbroken. When I first got the ipad i purchased video wizard to convert my DVD movies, however the sound would drop out after several minutes of watching the movie, so i purchased aneesoft and faced the same issue. So after having the ipad replaced the first time and still having issues i searched for answers on the internet. Apple had nothing in their database other than restore the system. I started using handbrake which seemed to work well however the movies caused the ipad to hard reboot itself after about 5 minutes. I searched again on the internet and found ipadhelpguide.net which gave me settings for handbrake. After converting movies I found that they would pixelate and lose sound again but later in the movie. I stopped converting from the DVD and started using DVD decrypter and started using handbrake again using the video TS files that seemed to work very well that way however I was losing sound again later in the movie. I than as suggested started using the nightly build and after several minutes or so of the movie the ipad did a hard reboot. I started watching itunes bought movies and they started freezing however there was sound so i went to apple yesterday and had the ipad replaced again went back to work using handbrake and lo and behold the same issue. I love the ipad however it has been more of a aggravation on dealing with the movies.

x264 is attempting to work around it in the meantime, so try a newer nightly.

I think I am close to getting my issue resolved and I don't believe it is an ipad issue, I have been using handbrake on my windows 7 64 bit laptop and I have not had one issue with the movies freezing and having issues. I just need to figure out why it will not work on my desktop windows 7 64 bit. Thought it might be itunes but have since removed every bit of itunes and reinstalled. Getting close Thanks
