Imported SRT file as default subtitle track

Post by vassie »

Hello

I have imported my own SRT file into Handbrake, and ticked the default box, however, when opening the final M4V file in VLC the subs are included, but not set as default, they work fine after selecting them btw

I have also noticed that this only happens with M4V files, if I change the output to MKV the subs are automatically shown in VLC

Thanks

IIRC, there is currently no playback software that honors the default flag for subtitles in MP4.
