Can't fast forward ripped movie?

Anyone know why after ripping the movie, during playback you can not fast forward? Is there anyway to fix this? (I'm using an avi container with Xvid encoding).

use windows media player? try a differnt player

It's not the player, I've tried it in several and you can not fast forward. In Windows Media Player you can click on the slider bar to skip forward, but I don't have that option on my Zen...

You have to run it through AVI-Mux to strip some of the stuff handbrake puts in it. I wrote a tutorial you can find here: http://handbrake.m0k.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1006
