Is there a difference when ripping animation?

Using windows xp installed handbrake and DVD43 ripped my first dvd works great keep the same settings except for bidrate set that at 650 source was v_ts it ripped only 54sec of the begining I know i must have done something wrong any help would be great ....

was there a chapter selected? did you leave the title set to auto?
