First, it says:

Scanning title 14 of 19...

After it finishes scanning, it does allow me to chose a title and start encoding the file. The problem is that it runs between 1-2 fps and tells me that it will take 115 hours for one DVD! I downloaded and installed the newest version of VLC - I'm running Windows XP. I've tried using Handbrake on 4 other Windows computers - 3 XP, 1 Vista - all are experiencing the same problems.
Any help would be appreciated!!
