Just Wont Work

I have the latest version of Handbrake for windows. I downloaded it on 5/01/07. Every time I open it up and have it read the dvd it freezes right as it is reading. My friend is having the same problems with his version too. I need help asap thank you

do you have the decypting program like anyDVD? if not it wont work. hth jim
