Error Reading the DVD. Some Title info may not be available

Post by astonish »

My initial impression of Handbrake is good. I encoded Tarzan perfectly. No messing around. Sound was in sync. I was unable to convert that title to divx trying many tools.

However, I've got the subject error "Error Reading the DVD. Some Title info may not be available" every time I've tried to use Handbrake with a DVD entitled My Baby Can Talk - Sharing Signs. I tried right off of the DVD. Also off of files on the hard drive, including a mounted image. I've used DVD Decryptor 3.5.4.0, DVD43, AnyDVD. I always get the above error message.

The titles are showing up in the DVD Title dropdown box.

When I go ahead and try to decode, after about a half a second I get a message saying the encoding is complete. But there is no output file.

Can you copy the output from tools > view DVD data here.

The error message basically means errors were detected on the disc. In some cases this won't be a problem. In others it will result in a few titles missing or encode failures.

Well, Its missing Title 1.

Looks like good ol copy protection or poorly mastered DVD. AnyDVD should be sorting that though :S
