Volume boost?

Post by Kijutsu »

All the videos I've encoded have VERY low volume, where in even a quiet environment I have to crank the volume up max on the iPod to even hear them. A very similar problem occurs with the same videos played on the PC. So I know it's not the iPod itself. (The iPod Volume limiter is turned off, or set to the maximum volume level.) Just wondering if there's any second programs to run it thru or if there's an option to boost volume.

Thanks in advance.

In iTunes, right click on the movie in which you want to adjust the volume. Select 'Get Info' then select the 'Options' tab.

I always adjust the volume to 100% then select 'OK'.

Doesn't work. I tried that. I even went to the point of formatting and restoring the iPod. Still no go. Thanks anyway.

Yeah, the gui could do with a normalize audio function, would be great.

I suppose you could demux the vobs to normalize the audio with besweet or similar then remux back to vob, but it would be more convenient with this built into the gui.
