Immediate crash when encoding MP4

Hello all,

I'm relatively new to Handbrake, but have used it without incident in the past. I've recently renewed my vigour in trying to get HD movie files to play on my Xbox 360, and figured Handbrake would be the best option being one of my best converters. However, any time I load everything in and hit 'Start' the command prompt window pops up and then disappears. I'm guessing it's an immediate crash, but I haven't the faintest idea why. I'm running Vista Ultimate 64-bit, and am trying to convert a couple HD MP4 files I have into the proper HD format with the right audio to work on a 360, as they don't work now. I've got the K-Lite Codec Pack for 64-bit installed for the h.264 codec. I also can't seem to convert to any output file type, leading me to believe it may be an issue with reading the MP4 input? I really haven't the slightest idea, and codecs are a bit out of my league, so any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

AAC decoding was broken in the 0.9.3 release - try using the recent development snapshot.

Well that allowed me to encode MP4 now. I tried it out last night before you replied, and realized it was trouble reading the files that were HD. I downloaded the snapshot and it worked, but now I can no longer use the XviD codec, and can't create AVI files. Any ideas? I just uninstalled HandBrake and reinstalled 0.9.3 and it's back to as it was before.

Your pretty much out of luck.

As per the snapshot announcement, neither xvid or avi are supported anymore.

Doesn't appear to be the same issue. Your log shows a different error:

With this source, you will need to use another anamorphic setting (None or Loose) to ensure the dimensions are divisible by 2.
