On the "video" tab there is a drop down for the video codec.
When I want to convert a VIDEO_TS/DVD to an AVI: Which video codec is the best/recommended?
Peter
Which video codec is the best for AVI: H.264, Xvid, or ffmp

Is audio "Stereo" = "Joint stereo" ?
On the "Audio & subtitles" tab I can specify the target audio quality.
In the "Mixdown" column/dropdown I found no "Joint stereo" (for MP3).
Is there only "stereo" or is "Stereo" =" Joint stereo" ?
Which encoder is used ? Lame?

Dimensions are not recognized/Target resolution adjustment?
I want to convert a VIDEO_TS source on my hard disc to an AVI.
When I loaded the VIDEO_TS folder then the source is recognized as with dimensions
720 x 576
The original format of the VOBs is however 16:9, So I would like to have a target AVI of
720 x 408
pixel. Where can I adjust this resolution settings for the target video?
Or where can I set a target aspect ration of 16:9 ?
When I encode VIDEO_TS as it is the resulting video will currently be distorted (height much heigher than optimal)
