Upgrading Handbrake

Post by jonomite » Mon Apr 16, 2018 3:05 am

Is uninstalling the current version of Handbrake recommended when upgrading to a new one? If so, will I be able to save my presets when uninstalling?

You CAN install multiple versions of handbrake, if you specify a different location for each.

Presets may or may not be "portable", depending on the old and new versions. You can export your personal presets from the old version, then try importing them to the new, but you will still have to check every one of them to make sure any new features are accounted for.
