Does HandBrakeCLI v0.9.2 read preferences files? I'd like to create a custom preset on the Mac, and copy it over to my Linux box, but don't know if this is workable, or where the CLI looks (~/Library/Preferences/org.m0k.handbrake.plist, as used on the Mac, seems an unlikely location on Linux).
I think this should be documented in http://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/Preferences & http://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/CLIGuide

Re: Wiki / Docs problems
You can't do this. The CLI does not read any preferences file and the MacGUI does not generate Command Line String's

So use manicure.rb. That's what I wrote it for.reppep wrote:I'd like to create a custom preset on the Mac, and copy it over to my Linux box
Or not...the CLI docs clearly state the presets are "hard coded."I think this should be documented in http://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/Preferences & http://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/CLIGuide
