Post by Luckbox » Fri Aug 09, 2019 11:19 pm

Description of problem or question:

Is there an option to utilize VideoToolbox for encoding H.265 with Handbrake CLI like the GUI version on MacOS? Since it is not a present I can figure out what option to enter to utilize the hardware encoding.

Steps to reproduce the problem (If Applicable):

HandBrake version (e.g., 1.0.0):

Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, Windows 10 Creators Update):

HandBrake Activity Log ***required*** (see How-to get an activity log)

Code: Select all

Please replace this text with the contents of your log file between the two code tags - OR - provide a pastebin URL in place of these 3 lines.

The output of HandBrakeCI --help will list all available available encoders. IIRC it's vt_h265 but I can't remember for sure.
