Version 1.0.1 - udfread ERROR: ECMA 167

Post by damtor »

I've just built HandBrakeCLI version 1.0.1 (on Linux) and started testing it.

If I run this simple command:

HandBrakeCLI --input=/mnt/MEDIA2/.K9COPY/The_Firm_t00.mkv --output="/mnt/MEDIA2/.K9COPY/The Firm.m4v"

I will get this output:

=====
HandBrake 1.0.1 (2017010100) - Linux x86_64 - https://handbrake.fr
8 CPUs detected
Opening /mnt/MEDIA2/.K9COPY/The_Firm=_t00.mkv...
[11:17:17] CPU:
[11:17:17] - logical processor count: 8
[11:17:17] OpenCL: library not available
[11:17:17] hb_scan: path=/mnt/MEDIA2/.K9COPY/The_Firm=_t00.mkv, title_index=1
udfread ERROR: ECMA 167 Volume Recognition failed
disc.c:274: failed opening UDF image /mnt/MEDIA2/.K9COPY/The_Firm=_t00.mkv
disc.c:352: error opening file BDMV/index.bdmv
disc.c:352: error opening file BDMV/BACKUP/index.bdmv
=====

I didn't let the encode complete to see what happens.
I killed it when I saw the error from udfread,
and tried using HandBrakeCLI version 0.10.5.
Version 0.10.5 processed the input file fine (no udfread ERROR).

Is the "udfread ERROR" in version 1.0.1 expected, or is something wrong?

Because your source is a MKV file, not a Bluray UDF disk filesystem structure.

The entire log is required to diagnose any problems you might be having.
